Gujarat will house 11 more airports to provide air connectivity to major pilgrim sites in the state as well as to promote tourism. The state government is working on these airports, which will come up at Palitana (Bhavnagar), Dwarka (Jamnagar) and Ambaji (Banaskantha). The state has about 20 small and big airports and it has floated its own aviation company to develop infrastructure.
