BGR Energy will collaborate with Japan-based Hitachi and its subsidiary Hitachi Power Europe GmbH to manufacture power equipment in India. The two projects entail an investment of over Rs 4,400 crore. This joint venture will manufacture energy efficient boilers, supercritical steam turbines and generators in India. BGR will hold a 74 per cent stake in the turbine joint venture and 70 per cent stake in the boiler joint venture.
