 New Jack-up Vessel For Wind Turbines

Drydocks World Southeast Asia Pte Ltd (DDW-SEA) has signed a contract to construct the largest jack-up vessel of its kind serving the wind turbine installation market. The GustoMSC NG-9000C-HPE features an 800- tonne GustoMSC crane, a continuous hydraulic jacking system, a fully redundant DP2 system and a 6,500- tonne variable load capacity. Delivery of the crane is scheduled by early 2012. The crane is fitted on top of a jack-house around the jack-up leg.

GustoMSC designs and engineers mobile units and vessels for the offshore industry including derrick cranes, pedestal cranes and other associated equipment. DDW-SEA and GustoMSC have constructed four SEA-2000 construction jack-up
