Palfinger North American has launched a new distribution firm, Paltec Truck Equipment Company, formed by the merger of Tiffin Loader Crane Company and Omaha Standard Distribution. The company will have branches across North America in Fort Lauderdale, Charlotte, Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, Louisville, and Dallas, as well as locations in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Tiffin, Ohio. Omaha was acquired by Palfinger in 2008 as part of its takeover of commercial truck body manufacturer Omaha Standard Inc, and had previously traded as Fontaine Truck Equipment Company. Tiffin Loader Crane was bought by Palfinger, and is one of the company's largest articulating crane dealers.
