Bengal Aerotropolis Project will start construction work at the Aerotropolis project at Durgapur in April and the airport will be operational by the end of 2011. The company had floated a tender for selecting the developer for the project. The proposed project on 3,500 acre entails an investment of about Rs 10,000 crore over five to seven years.
