 Logistics Will Grow In Volumes, Not Necessarily In Quality

The transport and logistics industry stands to gain from the infrastructure development in the country. As it gears up for a high-growth decade, the industry is hoping the government would also address clearance blues and bureaucratic delays. Nailesh Gandhi says that while growth is assured, improvement of standards is not.

In this stage of industrial development, we can expect to see a phenomenal growth in the logistics sector in the next decade. The new Dedicated Rail Freight Corridors (DRFCs) will speed up containerised and bulk cargo movements economically particularly for exports and imports and will benefit hinterland industries in view of easy access to gateway ports.
