As Low Cost Carrier (LCC) concept made inroads in the Indian aviation industry over a decade ago, there was a sudden surge in the air traveling population. The authorities concerned thought it was the right time to look at the infrastructure especially since the terminals at most of the airports had vintage facilities barring a few which over a period of time had undergone some piecemeal cosmetic changes.
