CESC has tied up funds for its 600 MW Haldia power project. The project is estimated to cost Rs 3,000 crore and the cost of evacuation stands at Rs 300 crore. About 298 acres of land has been acquired for the project and subsequently additional land will be acquired. The project would entail Rs 2,400 crore borrowing from IDBI and ICICI Bank.
