Ashok Leyland has launched a new platform 'U Truck', which will address emission norms, offer product flexibility and customisation. To meet the Bharat Stage (BS) III, BS-IV emission norms, scheduled to come into effect from 1 April, all commercial vehicle makers have started to upgrade platforms. Tata Motors has also launched a 'World Truck' platform.
