West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Co has spent about Rs 300 crore to set up substations at Rajarhat, Sodepur, Subhasgram, Singur and Kolkata West International City, but the transmission lines for servicing the facilities have not been installed. The reason for this is unavailability of 250 sq m plot required for setting up a transmission tower.
