Bharat Petroleum Corporation's (BPCL) wholly owned subsidiary, Bharat Petro Resources (BPRL), advises that US-based Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, the operator of exploration block in Rovuma Basin, area one, offshore Mozambique, has announced the exploration well in Windjammer, which is currently being drilled in the acreage.

The exploration well drilled has reached to its halfway and encountered more than 145 net metres of natural gas pay in multiple high quality reservoir sands with a gross column of more than 365 m.

BPRL Ventures Mozambique BV, an overseas subsidiary of BPRL, held 10 per cent participating stake in the said gas block.
