 Iran Keen On Trading With India

Iran, which currently imports tea, rice, pulses, machine tools, gems & jewellery, textiles, pipes from India, will like to double the exports in three years. Iran continues to be an important source of crude oil for India. The visit of a high level delegation of Indian oil and gas experts from India is a reaffirmation of the mutual interest in the fields of energy including oil and gas.

Where export is concerned, which is currently $15 billion, India will like to double by increasing direct business with Iran. The areas of co-operation could be pharmaceuticals, petrochemical products, agro food, engineering textiles, leather, tea, rice and logistics.
