The major branded marketer in palm oil in India, Ruchi Soya Industries has acquired Palm Tech India (PTIL), largest palm oil unit in Andhra Pradesh. The board has approved the scheme of amalgamation of PTIL with Ruchi Soya Industries. PTIL has a palm mill with an annual crushing capacity of 25,920 million tonnes (mt) of fresh fruit bunch in Andhra Pradesh.
