The government has come up with a move that has slapped restrictions on specific steel imports. With this move seamless tubes and pipes will be sifted from the free to the restricted list of steel imports. With this move by the government, the industries that use these products such as the automobile, construction and oil industries are required to obtain license from the government for importing this kind of specialised steel. With this development, these items cannot be now imported for any sort of trade. This will ensure that imported steel is not sold at a price lower than what the local firms offer.
