Symbiosis' Hyd campus to be ready in 16 months

The new campus for business management courses at Hyderabad, which is being developed by Symbiosis International University, Pune, will be ready in the next 16 months, revealed Vidya Yeravdekar, Principal Director of Symbiosis Society. The university, as discussed with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, is planning to develop the institute into an independent university after the Universities Bill is passed.
Yeravdekar said that the university has already secured all the approvals for the new campus, which would be established at Mamidipally village in Kothur mandal of Mahboobnagar district. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is also located at the proposed site.
In an official statement, the Pune-based university sated that Rs 75-80 crore will be invested for the construction work. In the meeting with Chief Minister Reddy, Vidya Yeravdekar, who is the daughter of Symbiosis founder SB Majumdar, also expressed the desire to include other disciplines, including Law school within the campus.
Symbiosis International University is one of the prominent education centers in the country. It has three other campuses at Bangalore, Noida and Nashik.
