KC Valley project to be completed by August 17

Deputy Commissioner KV Thrilokchandra aims to complete the Koramangala-Challaghatta (KC) Valley project work by August 15, 2017. The project envisages treating of sewage water of Koramangala and Challaghatta valley in Bengaluru, and channelizing the treated water into tanks in Kolar district as well as Chintamani taluk of Chickballapur district. The treated water will be supplied through pipelines. Development of eight tanks as part of the project has been taken up already. Kolaramma and Kodikannur tanks in Kolar, Shivarapatna in Malur, Ijuvanahalli in Bangarpet, and Alavata and Muduvadi in Srinivasapur taluk will be developed in the first phase. About 1.5 acre land is required for storage and establishing treatment plants, Thrilokchandra said.
