NMT Crane Hire buys 40th crane

The Bedfordshire-based NMT Crane Hire has bought its 40th crane. The company has just taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane, which joins a new full-specification LTC 1050-3.1 compact mobile crane purchased earlier for the company’s new Birmingham depot and an LTC 1045-3.1 compact mobile crane that was delivered to NMT in 2015.

The LTM 1060-3.1 has a three-axle chassis and excellent manoeuvrability is achieved through the crane’s six-wheel steering. The crane has a five-section main boom to give a maximum operating height of 48 m, which can be increased with the installation of a fly jib if required. In the UK, the LTM 1060-3.1 can travel with all 12.8 tonne of counterweight and a double fly jib and remain within STGO regulations.
