Andhra Pradesh proposes generation of 2,560 MW by 2022

The Andhra Pradesh Government has plans to generate additional 2,560 MW of power by FY2022 to meet the anticipated load growth, though it has surplus now.

The main reason for this power surplus state is capacity building on the generation side, the most recent addition being the 600 MW stage-4 of Rayalaseema Thermal Power Project.
