MUPRO is a among the leading solutions provider and premium supplier in the areas of fixing technology, vibration control and fire protection. Its products are engineered in Germany - the company has more than 50 years of industry experience in design and production. Today, MUPRO products are used world over. Deepak Shewani, Managing Director, MUPRO India, shares more on the company's plans and offerings.

Which sectors in India are mainly driving growth for your products?
MUPRO products are used in various sectors such as marine, solar, industries, warehouses and construction. In the past three-and-a-half years, the major target sectors for us in India, have been the construction and industrial sectors, viz residential apartments, commercial spaces, manufacturing industries, oil and gas, etc. As the clients in these sectors follow strict timelines to complete their projects, our modular non-welded connecting products serve as the right fit for them, and thus, have also been the driving growth of our products.

Tell us about your offerings in the areas of fixing technology, vibration control and fire protection.
We offer German-engineered supporting systems for HVAC (heating ventilation and air-conditioning) and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) services in varied sectors. We have always given high emphasis on the vibration control and fire protection systems. This is backed up by our innovative Dammgulast rubber linings for pipe clamps and support channels, which reduces the structure-borne noise vibrations. Also, all our major products undergo fire test as per DIN 4102 (F60 rating), so as to ensure fire protection of the products manufactured.

Tell us about the company's emphasis laid on R&D?
We have a centralised R&D department comprising of a state-of-the-art laboratory where our products are consistently tested after its manufacturing, and an experienced team of engineers develop our inhouse calculation softwares at our headquaters in Frankfurt. Approximately 5 per cent of our sales revenues is invested in innovation.

How do your solutions offer high quality and cost efficiency?
We provide a one-stop-shop designed-based solution to customers. Our products have quality approvals like FM, VDS, RAL and UL listing, etc, which gives customers the quality gurantee on our products. Further, being a one-of-its-kind company in India to concentrate on suppoting systems, we lay high emphasis in designing, on safety, installation and cost-effeciency.

How does the company innovate to customer-required solutions?
Over the years, the HVAC and MEP industries have evovled and grown at a double digit rate. In the recent past, our customers have been asking us for seismic supports, pipe stress analysis, revit library and ready-to-install customised supports. With our technically strong team and our zeal to strive for innovation, we have always been able to fulfil the requirements of our customers through our innovative solutions.

What are the company's target plans for this year?
Since the inception of MUPRO in India, there has been a constant growth in the performance of our company every year. In 2018, as part of our corporate strategy, our main objective is to increase our market share in the country. Furthermore, we will analyse promising and growing regions, such as Asia Pacific, in order to evaluate our opportunities for a geographical expansion.
