PPPAC approves Eastern Peripheral Expressway project

The Public-Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC) chaired by secretary, department of economic affairs, ministry of finance in its 62nd Meeting held on 17th January 2014 recommended approval of ministry of road transport and highways project in Haryana. The project comprises Eastern Peripheral Expressway (NH No. NE-II) covering 134.946 km length at a cost of Rs 4,524.00 crore with Rs 1,809.60 crore viability gap funding. The eastern expressway will connect Palwal in Haryana on NH-2 to Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh on NH-24 and Kundli in Haryana on NH-1. This project aims to decongest Delhi roads.
