ADB to give $275 million loan for rural roads in 5 states

The Government of India and Asian Development Bank (ADB) has recently signed a US$ 275 million loan agreement to continue improving rural roads in five states including Assam, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal. The loan will be used to construct 3,693 km of all-weather rural roads in these states. The Ministry of Rural Development is the executing agency of the project at the central level. The phase-II of the project is likely to complete by June, 2017.
