MSRDC invites RFQ for Cable-stayed Bandra-Versova sea link

The Bandra-Versova sea link is proposed for Mumbai at a cost of Rs 5,975 crore. This would be a 9.3-km long cable stayed bridge. If you include the entry and exit ramps at various places, the length would be 14.8 km. The bridge will be built on similar lines of Bandra-Worli sea link. The Bandra-Versova sea link will also have two 250-metre-long balanced cantilever bridges for other stretches where longer spans are needed for navigational needs. The sea link will have five toll nakas. The MSRDC is the nodal agency for this project. The project is likely to be implemented on public-private partnership model. The authority has invited request for qualification (RFQ) in this regard. By 2020, the sea link is estimated to be used by more than 45,000 vehicles and help the commuters to skip 14 traffic signals.
