NHAI extends RFQ application date thrice for Meerut-Bulandshahr road project

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) plans to undertake development and operation/ maintenance of the four laning of Meerut - Bulandshahr section of NH-235 from Km 7.469 (design chainage Km 7.469) to Km 66.482 (Design chainage Km 73.512) in the State of Uttar Pradesh under NHDP Phase IVB through Public Private Partnership (PPP) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) Toll Basis. The road length is 62.521 km. The indicative project cost is Rs 598.02 crore. The application date for submitting request for qualification is extended three times. The application date is extended upto 19th May, 2014. It seems the road construction authority is not getting adequate response as contractors are in passive mode and waiting for the formation of the next government.
