LIDA approves master plan to develop industrial zone in Lucknow

In 2005, the Uttar Pradesh Government has constituted Lucknow Industrial Development Authority (LIDA). The LIDA board has approved the master plan for the proposed development of the area and has agreed to trifurcate the notified land into townships A, B and C. The development of this industrial zone will boost industrial and commercial activities in the region. The aim is to attract investment from Noida and Greater Noida. The industrial region is likely to come up spanning 30,000 hectares across 84 villages in Lucknow and Unnao district. As per the approved master plan, the Township A would be multifunctional zone near Lucknow; Township B comprises tourism zone around the Nawabganj bird sanctuary; and Township C is the industrial zone in Unnao.
