Kerala Government tries to revive ailing KSRTC by granting Rs 252.20 crore

The Government of Kerala has announced a lifeline of Rs 252.20 crore for the ailing Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that Rs 200 crore will be granted as part of capital expenditure and the remaining Rs 52.2 crore will be provided from the Budget share. The state government is trying to revive the ailing KSRTC and would also stand as a guarantor for the corporation borrowings to the tune of Rs 300 crore.
