NHAI breaks Eastern Peripheral Expressway project for faster execution

In order to make road projects more viable and attractive for the private sector companies. National Highways Authority of India plans to break down the Eastern Peripheral Expressway into three projects. Tenders for the three projects would be called separately and lead to faster execution of this project. The project envisages signal-free connectivity between Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Greater Noida and Palwal. The completion is targeted in three years. The Government of India targets to award construction of 8,500 km of highway projects in the current financial year.
