AAI draws attention of global airline and airport representatives towards upcoming airport projects
Airports Authority of India (AAI) has showcased the Government of Indias plan to set up 50 no-frill airports, out of this 29 metro and non-metro airports would be initially developed. While attending an ongoing conference in Chicago, the AAI officials discussed with representatives of global airlines and airports about the opportunity awaiting them in India. Recently the authority has signed an agreement with US Trade & Development Agency (USTDA) for development of Aviation Security Equipment Testing and Evaluation Programme. AAI also informed that work on the airports at Jharsuguda, Teju, Kishangarh, Hubli and Belgaum are likely to start soon.
