FII limits in PSBs likely to be raised in 25-30 per cent range
The government plans to raise foreign institutional investors’ (FIIs) limit in public sector banks (PSBs). This would help the PSB to meet the capital requirements under the Third Basel Accord. It is likely that the FII limit will be raised in the range of 25-30% range in place of 20%. Also the Centre intends to make it uniform with the private sector banks over a longer run.
