Jaipur airport to be ready to handle bigger aircraft

The Airports Authority of India has completed the civil works relating to the runway extension at the Jaipur international airport.The only thing pending is the CAT-IIIB lighting, which will be completed by October 31. Thereafter, the airport will be used for the landing of Boing-747 and other bigger aircraft. Earlier, the Jaipur airportĀ“s runway had the length of 9,174 ft, which was not sufficient for the landing of big aircraft like Boeing 747 and Airbus 320.
