Rs.8,000-cr rail projects approved

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved several railways projects worth about Rs 8,000 crore in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Bihar. To be implemented over seven years, these rail links will help in the transportation of coal and other minerals. Other projects include for third and fourth lines between Budhapank and Salegaon via Rajathgarh Railway Line of 85 km each with a cost of Rs 1,172.92 crore. The project is likely to be completed in the next three years during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan and Thriteenth Five-Year Plan period.
