SP revives Maya┬┤s Upper Ganga e-way

Samajwadi Party has decided to revive the eight-lane Upper Ganga Canal Expressway in western Uttar Pradesh. The 148-km expressway, on flanking the right bank of the Upper Ganga Canal, is estimated to cost Rs 11,000 crore. Proposed by the Mayawati Government in 2010, the project will reduce travel time by road from NCR to the cities of Haridwar, Mussourie and Nainital considerably. The Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad areas will also be directly connected with Uttarakhand.
