LNG-fired power plant at Brahmapuram likely

Wärtsilä will supply a 40 MW smart power generation plant to Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEBL) at Brahmapuram. The plant will start and stop twice a day and run at full capacity for four-to-five hour periods covering the morning and evening peaks in power demand.It will comprise four Wärtsilä 34SG engines running on natural gas and will replace two-aged generation units that run on low sulphur heavy stock.
