India’s construction equipment market is estimated to be around $ 4 billion. The slowdown in 2008 had a deep impact on the momentum which has by now been absorbed and the Construction Equipment industry is looking forward to an upward graph here onward. Most international brands have set up base in India with many even setting up manufacturing facilities. With a $ 500 billion investment plan over five years, the sector is likely to witness tremendous impetus. The realty sector has also recovered from the stranglehold of finance and is showing positive trends. Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways Shri Kamal Nath have accelerated investment into this sector with his target of 20 km roads per day. This vision and natural industry growth will lead to an infusion of $ 100 billion over next five years.

Clearly this sector will see a high powered momentum. Project management techniques and technology advancements have set the scene for introduction of advanced equipment with capacity of international standard loads. Indian market has also recently witnessed an online cum reserved auction in Hyderabad and more such auctions are likely to follow.

Indian equipment manufacturing companies too are introducing new equipment to fulfill a host of requirements.
