Dura-line India

Vijay Kiyawat, Managing Director

W hen it comes to ducts and pipes, an outstanding name is Dura-line India. Established in 1997, it has the largest supply record in the country, having supplied more than 120,000 km of ducts and pipes to a host of customers in areas such as telecom, highways, railways, defence, water supply projects, industrial effluent treatment and agriculture. It is also the largest exporter of HDPE telecom ducts, supplying to Europe and the Middle East. Its plant at Goa has an annual capacity of 20,000 MT of polyethylene pipes and ducts.

How has the performance of your India operations been?
The growth is about 70 per cent CAGR over the last nine years. We have exclusive trade arrangements with Bharti, Hutch and in the US with AT&T, apart from Europe. In private sector in telecom, we enjoy a 90 per cent plus market share.

What is the background of ducts and cables in the country?
It took us some time to convince people to invest extra money in ducts, because if you bury cables directly you save money initially, so nobody wants to spend more. But we have convinced the customers to invest in ducts, which bring more benefit on in terms of security and ease of maintenance.

Have do you assess the current requirements across the country?
About 60 thousand tonnes of PE pipes will be required in the current year.
Over 75,000 km of pipelines will be required every year.

What does the future hold for the industry?
We see growth at the rate of 20 per cent per year. Current demand is of 65-75 thousand tonne per year. Everybody will grow. We will grow profitably because we operate in a different space in the market. Others will grow in volumes but not in profit, because they sell only on price. We don't sell on price but on features.

Proflex
AN UPRISING THAT MOVED 350 ROOFS

A frontrunner in the roofing industry that now covers more than 350 patrons.

Proflex Systems is a premier company that gauges its success through the long list of clients they have catered to in a short span of time. A company that promised to give a complete makeover to the roofing industry of India, today stands tall ,having successfully implemented highly diverse 350 projects across industries relative to textiles, engineering, processing, warehousing, agricultural buildings, to name a few. Their state- of -the art roofing technology has gasped their customers nationally and now with a national presence they are geared to play a pivotal role in the rapid industrial and infrastructural growth of the country.
Since over five years, Proflex Systems has revolutionized roofing in the country with ideal solutions catering to the precise needs of each industry. PROFLEX SYSTEMS are self-supporting roofing panels made from colour-coated galvalume/ galvanized steel with the use of mobile manufacturing systems, also known as portable roofing and building devices.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the technology is that it enables installation of the roofs and buildings at an incredible speed of covering over 2000 square metres in just 12 hours, something which none other alternative permanent roof can yet achieve. This leads to a big time-gain for our clients, especially in time-bound construction projects where timely implementation plays a critical role!
PROFLEX SYSTEMS, an American technology, proves to be an ideal cover for factories, warehouses and other industrial, agricultural & defence structures. With no requirement for any kind of ancillary support structures, trusses and purlins, these roofs offer economy in both, time and energy. What adds to it is that this mechanical system of panel connection requires no holes, nuts, bolts, overlaps or sealants, again adding on to the economy of costs. The Proflex roof is full proofed against water seepage and extreme weather conditions, thus giving an enhanced protection to goods or machinery stored in the facility, which reduces the cost related to product failure or rejection.
Certain dominant traits like non-combustible qualities and high tensile strength make them stronger against natural calamities like fire, earthquakes or hurricanes. Also, the product's unique panel seaming technology makes it needless of constant safeguarding & maintenance efforts.
A continuous roof of up to 40 meters span at a stretch can be easily and very effectively covered with our systems. A very distinguishing arch shape and the possibility of using colours in roofing along with basic design flexibility result in a strong aesthetic appeal for Proflex Systems which gives an interestingly attractive look to the buildings.
The product also rules out the possibilities of any bird nuisance, a common trouble faced in factories and warehouses. Proflex Systems' dome-type structures provide a perfect solution when it comes to the utility of vertical space. The unique structure facilitates storage up to much higher levels while maintaining lower wall heights when compared to conventional go-downs.
Proflex Systems works on an endless path of constant innovations and enhancements to the product, hence making it more versatile and suit industry and client specific needs with more precision. And when so much effort goes in the planning, roofing is surely going to be easy!
