by Tiger Profiles and Insulation are characterised as being lightweight, strong, weather proof and flexible, suitably shaped to meet architects’ strenuous demands for durability, dexterity and size. The floating standing seams, can be laid vertically or horizontally, and are used in roof construction. They are manufactured of profiled sheets that are joined with the roof sub-structures by the use of concealed special aluminum clips that are locked into the seams by the means of electrically operated seaming machinery. Readily produced either in the factory or on site through the use of a portable roll-forming machine that can produce sheets in continuous length in excess of 100 m, the T -Seam® panels are manufactured from a selection of materials including pre-painted aluminium (up to 1.2 mm), GI color and copper (up to 1.0 mm), and stainless steel. The T - Seam® are present in a broad range that suitably meets market demand. These include straight panels, smoothly curved convex panels; smoothly curved concave panels and tapered panels with a minimum width of 250 mm and a maximum width of 500 mm.

TPI also provides perforated
T - Seam® panels that can be used as rain screens. These T Seam® conceal-fix panels are offered in 65 mm depth and variable width from 333 mm to 500 mm and can be supplied in a perforated version that easily serves as a very pleasing shade cover.

What are the new types of cladding materials offered by TPI?
Besides maintaining our existing product line, and constantly seeking innovative upgrades to our existing products, we have developed and recently introduced together with our principals, SolaCoat, a new option to the insulation of our panels. SolaCoat, originally an Australian product, is a revolutionary, water-based paint, Solacoat that provides a Radiant Barrier Insulation coating that reduces temperature. SolaCoat is the most efficient and most cost effective form of heat insulation available. It is a waterborne acrylic emulsion based product, which has a special membrane additive which aids in rejecting of the infra red rays from the sun. As Exclusive Distributors of SolaCoat in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, we can offer our clients the option of applying this paint to a single skin panel when clients are in need of keeping the heat out of areas that do are not air-conditioned, and it can be applied to a PU sandwich panel to provide maximum heat insulation from external heat while providing maximum efficiency in keeping the air-conditioned air inside the insulated area.

Which type of the cladding material is most popular amongst your clients?
Popularity is based on need. Research indicates that different products are popular with different clients.

What is the current market scenario for cladding materials in the UAE?
The cladding industry in the UAE, like in all the other markets, is affected greatly by the fluctuations in the cost of the raw materials. High prices of steel will definitely have an impact on how much steel cladding clients are willing to invest in, but we can say that in general, cladding is a necessity in the construction business, and with the boom we are witnessing on an international scale we believe that our business will benefit from the sky rocketing demand for cladding.

Which are the main markets that you cater to?
In terms of area, our clients are spread throughout the Middle East, the GCC and India. We are currently appointing agents and distributors to cater to our distant clients, and are also in the process of pinpointing optimal locations for our upcoming expansion scheme.

Does your company plan to introduce any new type of cladding material in the current year?
At TPI we are motivated by our tendency towards innovation. We have recently finalised testing on a highly innovative and well developed member of the SolaCoat family which can be applied in the process of manufacturing sandwich panels by the use of pre-painted steel coated with the heat insulating paint. New related products are also expected to see the light in the upcoming period .
