Telebrand launches Table-Mate
Telebrands India launches Table-Mate the portable, folding
and easy to store table. Table Mate has been designed keeping
in mind the space constrain faced by urban people. This portable
table is easy to assemble with out tools. It is light weight
and can be set in any place and used by students and elderly
people. Table-Mate is an ultimate portable table for anything
you would use a table surface for eating, serving table, side
table, lap top table, study desk, reading, writing, drawing,

Tagit's new mobile technology out TAGIT Pte Ltd, a Singaporebased
mobile solutions company, announced the launch of its new
mobile image recognition technology which will enable camera
phone users to connect with any media channel to obtain information
or digital content from any advertised brand product or enterprise
service. Trials of the new technology are scheduled to commence
in India exclusively on Nokia camera phones, company said
in a release. Increasing adoption of camera phones offers
a huge potential for brand advertisers and enterprises as
it speeds up fulfillment in response to customers needs.
The process starts with one snap of the camera phone by which
a user captures the "tagged" image. The Tagit application
software then decodes and enables the user to obtain information
about the product or service in both text and visual form.
The user may decide to make a purchase through the transaction
feature in Tagit, which will connect the user directly to
the e-commerce site of the business.
Suzuki launched new car
Suzuki's A-Star to be launched in India and Europe; Splash
coming soon Japanese car major Suzuki Motor Corporation unveiled
its fifth global car "A-Star". Suzuki will manufacture
A-Star in India and the car is showcased at auto expo. Suzuki
Chairman, Osamu Suzuki said that A-Star will be manufactured
in India only and will be promoted under Suzuki's "family
theme". A-Star will be a compact car and will be powered
by Euro V engine with a capacity of one litre manufactured
by Maruti Suzuki India. Presently, Suzuki will sell AStar
in a petrol variant only. Suzuki Powertrain India will manufacture
the manual transmission for the car. Suzuki also plans to
launch Splash in India in near term. Splash will be available
in Diesel and Petrol variants. Suzuki plans to sell 1 lakh
units in Europe and 50 thousand in India.
Cranes unveils Mystat 12
Cranes Software has launched Mystat 12, a freely downloadable
statistical analysis software package designed specifically
for use by students and the teaching community. Mystat 12
is a streamlined variation of Syastat 12, designed specifically
for educational use. It contains statistical and graphical
features related to topics that are generally covered in undergraduate-
level and beginning-graduate level statistics-related courses.
By making Mystat freely available at www.systat.com/products/mystat,
Cranes Software enables teachers and students to install the
software on their personal and lab computers. The software
can help students virtually in any course that involves quantitative
analysis, including psychology, social sciences, biology,
economics and market research.
Hunter launches light louver
Hunter Douglas Inc has recently introduced Alouette Light
Louvers in the Indian market. This product combines the features
of a shutter, a shade and a blind. The elliptical louvers
make an impressive architectural statement, while the soft
lightweight and yet durable structure renders similarity to
the softness of shades. The elliptical louvers help to control

Kishor is Symphony's Senior VP
Global product engineering services company Symphony Services
has announced the appointment of Kishor Wikhe as its new Senior
Vice-President of Pune Operations. He would also manage its
enterprise technology business unit. Kishor brings with him
over 16 years of experience across business strategy, business
development, product development, delivery and operations
in the IT services industry. He would be based out of Symphony
campus in Pune.
Anil Gupta is Aditi Tech COO
Aditi Technologies has announced the appointment of Dr Anil
Gupta as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) worldwide. Dr Gupta
will be based at Aditi's India headquarters in Bangalore.
Prior to joining Aditi, he was at Sun Microsystems for 11
years in various senior executive positions. His last role
was as Vice-President of the India Engineering Center at Bangalore.
Earlier, he had conducted research at AT&T Bell Labs,
New Jersey, and later was part of AT&T Sale s and Marketing
in San Francisco. He was also an advisor to the Ministry of
Power, Government of Nicaragua.
Manish Porwal appointed as CEO
Manish Porwal has been appointed CEO at Percept Talent
Management. Porwal who has been with Starcom since the last
four years, quits from his position of Managing Director,
India (West and South). Percept plans to build and strengthen
its asset-based businesses through Talent Management and revamp
its business model, said the company. "The idea of dealing
in human capital and being able to leverage their strength
in enhancing brand value gives me goose pimples. I have spent
more than 12 years in media and marketing and bring to this
new world, nothing but my core skills of understanding and
developing business, brands, people, ideas and opportunities,"
said Porwal.
New RBI Regional Director
Suma Varma has taken over as Regional Director (Andhra Pradesh)
of Reserve Bank of India, replacing R Gandhi. Gandhi has been
transferred to New Delhi. Varma, who joined RBI in 1982, worked
in the areas of financial inclusion and rural development,
foreign exchange management, banking operations and regulation.
Yogesh is Ajanta MD
The board of Ajanta Pharma has promoted Yogesh Agarwal as
the managing director of the company. Yogesh, who's a management
graduate from Johnson and Wales University in the US, was
an executive director in the company. The move is seen as
early succession planning by the company whereby Purushottam
Agrawal, the current managing director, and Madhusudan Agrawal,
current joint managing director, have been elevated as vice
chairmen of the company.
